Jewels By Elan Opens in Yonkers

Searching for just the right accessories in Yonkers? Jewels By Elan sells a variety of charming necklaces, earrings, bracelets, handbags and much more at reasonable prices. Jewelry artist and Westchester resident Ellen Edwards has opened the new shop in Yonkers. Edwards is the president and founder of Jewels By Elan and has been designing jewelry for 22 years.
She began her craft at home and eventually took her talent to the next level, hosting a series of jewelry parties.
A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, Edwards has sold her products out of flea markets and two stores in Manhattan.
Her first two shops were located in Manhattan, one in Herald Center and the other, called Studio, on 57 Street and Lexington Avenue. Additionally, Edwards has displayed her works at the Fashion Boutique Show at the Jacob Javits Convention Center and the Westchester Gem and Mineral show at the Westchester County Center.
She has taught an array of jewelry classes at the Pratt Institute, Suny Purchase College and The Learning Annex.Edwards will continue to pass on her artistry by teaching jewelry classes at the store in late fall of this year.
Jewels By Elan is also set to host summer jewelry parties that will include private showings of the merchandise. The parties will also provide unique opportunities to, “bring friends and get free jewelry.” Jewels By Elan is located at 25 Warburton Ave. in Yonkers. The store is open from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday through Saturday.
